Clay Short

Clay is proud to be the third generation to lead TRI Inc Realtors, having learned the
Commercial Real Business at the knee of his grandfather, William “Bill” Tate who founded the company in 1954. Both of Clay’s grandparents and mother, Ellen Short, are renown Hall of Fame Realtors with Clay’s father, Jeffrey Short, receiving the first general appraiser designation in the State of Mississippi.
“There was never a holiday meal that Real Estate wasn’t a topic. I’ve been in it all my life, and officially twenty years.”
While none can compare to Clay’s real estate pedigree, it’s been his dedication to his clients’ best interest that has earned him his esteemed reputation for market knowledge, and strategic deal structuring while maintaining a high regard for his integrity and business practices. Ellen Short
Ellen Short, managing broker of TRI Inc Realtors, has been a Realtor for 48 years .
She is a second generation Realtor in the company that was founded by her parents, WF(Bill) and Sue Tate.
Mrs. Short specializes in residential sales and leasing in the Tupelo market. She has served on multiple volunteer community boards and committees and multiple professional local, state, and national real estate associations.
In 2003 she served as president of the Mississippi Association of Realtors and has served as Federal Political Coordinator for Senator Roger Wicker for 24 years. She has been awarded the Northeast Mississippi Board of Realtors “Realtor of the year” award, the National Association of Realtors Meritorious Service Award, the Mississippi Association and National Association of Realtors’ (RPAC )Hall of Fame awards, and the Realtor Emeritus Award.
She has been married to Jeffrey Short ,a retired real estate appraiser,for 48 years and is a proud mother of three and grandmother of six. One son, Clay Short, is following in his grandfather’s footsteps as a commercial Realtor and another son, Andy Short, is a real estate appraiser.

Barry brings more than 14 years of commercial real estate deal-making experience to our clients, focusing on landlord and tenant representation, mixed-use, land and retail transactions. His approach is to emphasize the development of long-term relationships based on trust and understanding of client’s needs from a business point of view, while addressing the real estate requirement. Barry has extensive knowledge in retail leases and sales, investment and consulting/advisory activities. As director of TRI Inc Realtor’s Property Management division, he understands the value excellent asset management brings to clients’ return on investment.

As a Property Accounting Professional, Lori is responsible for providing detailed financial reporting for commercial real estate holdings managed by TRI Inc Realtors and our clients. She supports our brokerage services and asset management teams across a multitude of accounting disciplines including monthly reports to owners, preparing annual operating budgets, tenant collections, and closing documentation. Lori works closely with our sales staff to monitor achievements of all our owners’ objectives .

administrative support specialist
As the Administrative Support Specialist at TRI Inc Realtors, Emily provides administrative aid to broker teams on various projects. She assists with the development and operations of Property Management and Maintenance, working on both the Client and Tenant service side. In addition, Emily helps facilitate marketing strategies, client campaigns and promotional materials including event and social media.
